Who We Are
D S Fire Safety is a fire safety specialist based in Fife, Scotland. The company has solid roots in fire safety with several decades’ worth of experience between our engineers.
With qualifications from the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE), NEBOSH and IOSH our team cover all aspects of both domestic and commercial fire safety. From smoke alarms in domestic dwellings to corporate staff training at industrial sites you can rest assured that no job is too big or too small for our qualified engineers.
Whilst we pride ourselves on our best price/best value service we also strive towards sustainable business practices; almost 100% paperless operations to reduce recycling, the safe disposal and recycling of expired goods as well as promoting energy efficient and sustainable products.

Mike Doherty
Managing Director, Fire Safety Engineer
The former Assistant Chief Officer of Fife Fire and Rescue Service, Mike has over 40 years’ experience in fire safety, qualifications from IFE, IOSH and NEBOSH as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Management.
Stevie Thomson
Fire Safety Engineer
A former Group Manager within Fife Fire and Rescue Service, Stevie has over 30 years’ experience in fire safety, health & safety and first aid training as well as having worked as a Fire Safety Enforcement Officer on behalf of the local authority.
Andy Bennett
Fire Safety Engineer
A former Group Manager within Fife Fire and Rescue Service, Andy also has over 30 years’ experience in fire safety as well as having worked closely alongside Scottish Government in relation to fire safety on behalf of the HSE.
Jennifer Sharp
Customer Service Assistant
Jennifer has been with the company from the beginning and is the voice of D S Fire Safety, dealing with customer accounts and queries.
